The Bark

Blue sandalwood bark is harvested by hand in late autumn, when the fibre is at its longest and strongest. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is synthetic.

The Screen

A master dips the bamboo screen and lifts each sheet in a single motion. It is the moment no machine can repeat — the soul of the paper is set in that breath.

The Ageing

Sheets are brushed onto sun-facing walls and dried slowly by wind and light. Across seasons the fibre settles, and what leaves the valley is built to outlive empires.
